How much is boat insurance, typically, for a 52 foot yacht, with an experienced captain under salary?
Thinking about buying a boat. I have about 20 years of boating experience, but no boat ownership, so would be willing to hire a friend to captain, and he has 22 years of experience, with 5 years of boat ownership and no boating or MV incidents, ever. The boat is a 52 foot 2006 Sundancer, with twin engines and 660 horsepower. I can't seem to get a quote online, because of the 'no boat ownership" issue. Does anyone have a similar boat and could give me a ball-park estimate?

Other than that,, you'll likely need to get specialty insurance for something that's going to cost north of 500-grand,
