Buying an used boat could have its advantages but also some disadvantages. There are a lot of specialized site that presents a variety of used boats from which you can choose. Test the boat, look in the cabins, you don't want to spend a lot of time in cleaning it, check for cracks, the deep ones are really hard, not to say expensive, to repair. If the boat has been repaired, make sure that whoever did it was good at it. Make sure the ropes are assured. Inhale the smell. If it smells rusty of musty then you have a problem. Get the electrics checked. Get the boat surveyed. Be sure you'll get a contract for the boat to make sure that the current owner has the proper documents for it.
