What out drive do I need for my boat?
We bought a boat and it needs a out drive (was stolen at the marina we bought it at;stolen before we bought it) anyway I have serial numbers etc. but I'm not sure when searching what I need? Alpha 1, Bravo I, II etc. What ratio will be ok etc?
Our boat is a 1989 Rinker Fiesta VEE 250 with a 5.7l Mercruiser
The transom serial number is 0C726367
I'm trying to determine if 1 specific will work or if I can use a range. The boat is older but in great condition so I was thinking of buying a used ugly boat off ebay for a few hundred bucks if I can figure out what drive I need (unless you have a better idea) Anyway I'm mechanically incline so it's not a problem to get dirty in order to save a few $$. THANKS!
Pre 1991 so it is an alpha one gen1, be sure to get one with a 1.50:1 (1.47:1) gear ratio to match the MCM 5.7L
A better idea...Google for SEi drives (106) they sell new aftermarkets and come with a 3 jear warranty.
